About 2,799 newly admitted students took their matriculation oath at the College of Education, Azare, Bauchi State during the institution’s matriculation ceremony.
Speaking at the event, the Provost of the college, Dr. Abdullahi
Mohammed Isyakuhas congratulated the fresh students and cautioned them
to behave in a manner acceptable to the school and the society at large.
He noted that the college witnessed upsurge in the numbers of
applicants this year which he traced to increasing demand for higher
education in the state and lack of space in other tertiary institutions
in and outside the state.
Dr. Isyakuhas called on the students to study the college handbook
very well for them to understand the behavior expected from them as well
as keeping to the oath of allegiance they had sworn to.
He also advised them to put in their best by committed to their
studies so as to graduate from the college on record time and with good
grades.
