Tamuno died on Saturday, 11th April, 2015 in Ibadan, aged 83.
His death came as a shock to friends and colleagues as he was said to have recovered and looking healthy after returning from the United States where he received treatment last month.
In addition to his administrative and teaching career, he is an author and has chaired public service commissions.
Some of his books are Nigeria and Elective Representation (1966); The evolution of the Nigerian state: The Southern phase (1972); Herbert Macaulay, Nigerian patriot (1975); Nigeria: Its people and its problems; amongst others.
