The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU),
Ile-Ife has gotten a donation of ten units of portable computer
equipment from the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI)
to be used by staff and students of the institution.
The US based institute made the donation to the Department of Agricultural Economics in the Faculty of Agriculture.
This is consequent upon the high quality output and timely completion of a 15-day time bound project titled: “Varietal identification and Adoption of Cassava Varieties in Oyo state, Nigeria” which was conducted in 2011 under the supervision of Prof. A. S. Bamire as Principal Investigator.
This donation is the first of its kind to the Department from a multi-national Institution.
