UNIABUJA Students Took 2nd Place At International Law Contest

Two students of University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) have clinched the second position in the 2015 edition of the International Law Students Competition held in the United States, recently.

The Law students are, Chukwu Samuel and Esther Johnson-Chu.

According to a statement from the University, issued by the information officer, Waziri Garba, the international consultation competition held at the College of Law, Nebraska University, Lincoln, USA, featured Nigeria as the only African country.

The UNIABUJA students emerged winners at a national elimination competition held at the Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Edo State, in 2014, to earn the right to represent Nigeria at the global event.

The competition was conducted in four rounds after which three finalists of Nigeria, Georgia and England/Wales emerged.

England/Wales emerged winners of the competition with Nigeria and Georgia tied on the second position.
