The University of Jos (UNIJOS) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Pre-Degree Science Programme for the 2015/2016 Academic Session.
Eligibility:
i) Candidates must posses WASC/SSCE/NECO/GCE ‘O’ LEVEL, or equivalent with a minimum of five credits including English Language and Mathematics. Candidates awaiting results will not be considered.
ii) Candidates must possess any combination of 5 credits from the following: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Further Mathematics and Biology or Geography or Technical Drawing or Fine Art.
The Predegree Science course which is strictly science students is mainly for students of the Catchment States of Plateau, Nasarawa, Niger, Kwara, Benue and Kogi only.
Method of Application:
Application forms are available online on the University website: http://mis.unijos.edu.ng/application_form/ after the payment of the sum of Four Thousand naira (N4,000.00) only via interswitch.
Return of Completed Forms: All completed forms must be returned to the Registrar, University of Jos, P.M.B. 2084, Jos, Nigeria on or before October 1, 2015 and should contain;
i. Certified copies of academic qualifications.
ii. Two recent passport size photographs.
iii. Indigene certificate.
iv. Birth certificate/statutory declaration of age.
Note: The University does not provide accommodation for candidates offered admission into the Pre-Degree Science Programme.
2. All pre-degree science students are also required to sit for the UTME or any other prescribed examination and score a minimum National cut-off point in order to be absorbed into the University of Jos degree programmes.
