
The Provost of Adeyemi College of Education
(ACE) Ondo, Prof. Olukoya Ogen, has advised newly admitted students of
the institution against joining secret cult and indulging in social
vices that could have negative effect on their academic career.
While congratulating the students for being admitted out of the numerous UTME and candidates that sat for the Post UTME examination, which he described as highly competitive, the Provost advised them to make good use of the opportunity offered in order to achieve the purpose for which they were offered admission.
He described ACE Ondo as one of the best among its peers stating that the institution would give them excellent training and impact the right skills that would make them globally competitive after graduation.
Ogen stressed the need for the students to take their studies seriously and advised them to listen to their lecturers and obey all College Rules and Regulations.
The provost also advised them to be of good behaviour and refrain from acts that could make them run foul of the law which could affect their career and bring the name of their parents into disrepute.
He reiterated the commitment of the College Management to their welfare and stated that the institution would not compromise standard in providing quality training to its students.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Dean Student affairs (DSA) of the College, Mr. Olaniyi Olaluwoye explained that the orientation programme was organised to educate and acquaint the students with necessary information about the College.
He stated that resource persons from diverse feild of human endeavours from within and outside the College would talk to the students during the orientation in order to enrich and broaden their minds on various activities in the institution.
