32 First Class as ATBU Graduates 5,554 Students

 Not fewer than 5,554 students will receive their first degree certificates during the 19th-22nd combined Convocation ceremonies of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, scheduled to take place from 8th to 9th January, 2016.

Speaking during the pre-convocation media briefing on Tuesday, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Saminu Ibrahim, said that 32 of the graduating students bagged First Class Honours.

He said another 1,203 had Second Class Upper while 2,702 got Second Class Lower. A further 1,481 graduands had Third Class and 136 graduated with a Pass.

Prof. Ibrahim added that a total of 1,219 graduands will obtain Post-Graduate Diplomas and Masters with 64 of them Doctorate students.

The VC congratulated the graduating students and urged them to be good ambassadors of the institution.
