Speaking at the event, the founder of the University, Aare Afe Babalola, charged the newly admitted students to be determined to excel in their education.
He advised the students to make the most of the rare opportunity of being educated in one of the best universities around by working hard to make good grades.
Babalola also called on parents to join hand with the university to offer quality education to their wards.
Highlight of the ceremony was the administration of the matriculation oath on the fresh students by the university's registrar.
