LAUTECH Part Time Degree Admission Form 2015/2016 is Out

The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso invites applications from qualified candidates into the Bachelor’s Degree Programmes in the Directorate of Part-Time Programme for the 2005/2016 Academic Session.

BACHELOR’S DEGREE PROGRAMMES

A. FIVE (5) YEAR DURATION
(i) B.Sc. Accounting

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR A (i) & (ii)
Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two other relevant subjects, Commerce may be acceptable in lieu of Economics for B.Sc. Accounting and Geography for Transport Management.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR A (iii) & (iv)
Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or any other Science or Social Science subject for A (iii).

BACHELOR OF NURSING SCIENCE (BNSc)
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR A (v)
Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. In addition, the candidate should possess the following:
Registered Nurse Certificate (RN) plus RPN or any other additional diploma
Certificate registered with Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
NOTE: Applicants are to have at least 5 years post-registration experience.

B. FOUR (4) YEAR DURATION
(i) B.Sc. Accounting
(ii) B.Sc. Transport Management
(iii) B.Sc. Computer Science
(iv) B.Sc. Science Laboratory Technology

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR B (i) & (ii)
Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings. Other ‘O’ Level requirements as stated in A above apply. In addition to the ‘O’ Level qualification(s), candidates must have at least National Diploma with Upper Credit in relevant disciplines from a recognized Polytechnic.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR B (iii)
Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings. Other ‘O Level’ requirements as stated for (A iii) above apply. In addition to the ‘O’ Level qualification(s), candidates must have any of the following:
(a) Good passes at Advance Level of GCE (WAEC) (or equivalent) in Pure Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or the Combined Pure Applied Mathematics and Physics; and any other subjects from the following: Chemistry, Biology, Economics and Geography;
(b) National Diploma with Upper Credit in Computer Science or Computer Engineering/Technology and University Diploma of LAUTECH and any other relevant discipline from a recognised Polytechnic;
(c) Passes in Intermediate Level of Computer Professionals (Registration) Council of Nigeria or any other recognised Professional Bodies; or
(d) Third Class Degree in a Science-based discipline may also be considered for admission.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR B (iv)
In addition to the ‘O’ Level requirements stated for A (iv) above, candidates may be admitted for four (4) year training leading to the award of B.Sc. in Science Laboratory Technology (SLT), if they possess any of the following:
(a) Ordinary National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology and other related Science-based courses (Upper Credit),
(b) National Certificate of Education (NCE) in Biology/Chemistry Integrated Science, Health Education, Physics, and other related science-based discipline (not lower than Credit).

C THREE (3) YEAR DURATION
(i) B.Sc. Accounting
(ii) B.Sc. Transport Management
(iii) B.Sc. Computer Science
(iv) B.Sc. Science Laboratory Technology

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR C (i) & (ii)
Applicants must possess at least Five (5) Credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings in ‘O’ Level subjects listed for A (i) and (ii) above. Applicants must also possess any of the following:
(a) HND Upper Credit in relevant disciplines
(b) HND lower Credit plus relevant Professional Qualifications.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR C (iii)
In addition to the ‘O’ Level requirements stated for A (iii) above; applicants must also possess any of the following:
a. Higher National Diploma (HND) from recognized Polytechnics with a minimum of Lower Credit in Computer Science or Computer Engineering/Technology or any other relevant disciplines may also be considered.
b. Passes in final level (equivalent of full membership) of Computer Professionals (Registration) Council of Nigeria or any other recognized professional bodies.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT FOR C (iv)
Candidates must have five (5) ‘O’ Level (5) credit passes at not more than two sittings in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB as stated for A (iv) above.
Applicants must also possess the following:
- Higher National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology, Fisheries Technology, Animal Science, Health Technology and other Science-based related discipline with at least Lower Credit. Professional Registration will be an added advantage.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:
(a) Application forms will be available on-line.
(b) Applicants are expected to register on the University website; www.lautech.edu.ng by completing and submitting the on-line application form and their e-mail address, on the payment of a non-refundable fee of Ten thousand Naira (N10,000:00) only.
(c) In completing the on-line application form, candidates are required to upload their scanned passport photograph with white background showing ears, no cap and no glasses. The scanned passport photograph must be in JPEG (i.e. jpg) and must not be more than 20kb
On submission of the application form, candidates are to print out Referee Form and an acknowledgement page which will give them access to venue of the Entrance Examination.

NOTE: All academic programmes advertised are run on Part-Time basis In LAUTECH Main Campus, Ogbomoso and at the University’s College of Health Sciences (Mercy Land), Osogbo, i.e. on weekends only (Fridays, Saturdays and sometimes on Sunday) except BNSc Nursing that is run on daily basis for a specific period.

DELSU Postgraduate Admission Form 2015/2016 Out

The Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Postgraduate Programmes leading to the award of Postgraduate Diploma, Professional Masters, Academic Masters and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees for the 2015/2016 academic session.

General Admission Requirements:
A candidate for Postgraduate Studies in Delta State University must;
1.      Have obtained either a first Degree or Higher National Diploma from any Institution recognized by the Senate of Delta State University, Abraka.
2.     He or She must also have at least five (5) Credit Passes in WASC, NECO, GCE (Ordinary Level), NABTEB, including Mathematics and English (as applicable; no equivalents).
3.       To qualify for admission into Postgraduate Studies, the requisite qualifications for each programme must have been earned prior to commencement of Programme from either Delta State University or any other University recognized by the Senate of Delta State University, Abraka.  Candidates awaiting any requisite result will not be considered.
4.      Possess NYSC discharge certificate/exemption/inclusion letter from NYSC.
5.       Have Transcript forwarded to Postgraduate School.

Postgraduate Diploma
Holders of Bachelor’s Degrees in any discipline from the Delta State University or any other University/Institution recognized by Senate with at least “Third Class Honours Degree”

Academic Master Degrees (M.A., M.Ed., M. Sc.)
Candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Class Honours Lower Division in relevant disciplines of the Delta State University or any other University/Institution recognized by Delta State University Senate.
Professional Masters Programmes: Candidates must possess a minimum of Third Class Honours Degree, in any discipline from Delta State University or other Universities recognized by Senate or Higher National Diploma (HND) of not less than lower credit with years of experience. Programmes include Master in Energy and Petroleum Economics (MEPE), and Master in Communication Management (MCM).

Ph.D. Programmes
Candidates with relevant academic Masters Degrees from the Delta State University, Abraka or other Universities recognized by the Senate, and must have scored at least a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.00 or 60% overall average in Masters Degree to qualify for admission into the Doctor of Philosophy Programme. Candidates should submit two hard copies of their applications along with other relevant documents at the Postgraduate School office, Abraka.
1.   All Ph.D. Candidates must attach 5 – 10 paged Research Proposal to the application at submission.
2.   All candidates must submit photocopies of NYSC Certificate or Exemption Certificate to the Postgraduate School.
3.    Candidates must also submit all relevant academic transcripts along with their print out to the Postgraduate School.

Covenant University Admits 2,156 Students for 2015/16 Session

The Chancellor of Covenant University (CU), Ota, Dr David Oyedepo, has urged the newly admitted students of the University to stay true to the future they desire to see during their studentship in the institution.

The Chancellor made this charge at the 14th matriculation ceremony of the institution where 2156 undergraduate students were formally admitted into various programmes of the University.

Dr Oyedepo, stated that passing through Covenant University secures ones destiny, also emphasised the University’s strong stance on discipline and the role it plays in enabling the students to achieve excellence.

He also emphasised the importance of time management and reminded the students that time is an asset; some people invest it and some squander it.



He encouraged them to invest their time in making news for others to watch and wished all the matriculants the very best at Covenant University.

In his address, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Charles Ayo, said this year’s event was unique being the first time Covenant University has had part time students matriculating.

Prof. Ayo emphasised the University’s core values of spirituality, possibility mentality, capacity building, integrity, responsibility, diligence and sacrifice.

He reminded the matriculating students to live as commanded, not as convenient.

UNIPORT Post-HND (B.Eng) Application Form 2015/2016

Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified candidates for admission into the POST-HND Programme of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) for the 2015/2016 session.

1. OBJECTIVE
The Programme is aimed at upgrading and strengthening the academic background of holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering Discipline, so as to improve their managerial skills and engineering competence and efficiency on their job, as well as ensure their enhanced industrial productivity.
The Programme leads to the award of Bachelor of Engineering [B.ENG] Degree in any of the following Engineering fields:
(i) Chemical Engineering
(ii) Civil Engineering
(iii) Electrical/Electronic Engineering
(iv) Mechanical Engineering
(v) Petroleum Engineering

2. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess the following requirements in order to qualify for admission into the Programme.
(a). A minimum of LOWER CREDIT at the HND level [in any of the Disciplines stated above].
(b). Credit level passes at the O/Level in the SSCE/NECO/WASSCE/GCE (or its equivalent) in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language and any other science subject [ from Biology, Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing or Further Mathematics].

3. DURATION OF PROGRAMME
The minimum duration of the Programme is three academic calendar years. A calendar year in this sense consists of three terms of evening and weekend classes.

4. METHOD OF APPLICATION
Application Forms are to be obtained from the Post-HND Office, Choba Park, University of Port Harcourt, on payment of a non-refundable fee of Twelve Thousand naira only (N12,000.00) in any of the following Banks: First Bank Plc and UNIPORT-Choba Micro-Finance Bank.

5. SUBMISSION OF COMPLETED FORMS
Completed Application Forms, together with two (2) passport-sized photographs of the Applicant and the original copy of receipt of payment for the Application Form should be returned to:

AAU Ekpoma Clearance & Registration Procedure 2015/2016

The Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma wishes to inform all admitted candidates that the processing of admissions for 2015/2016 Academic Session commences on Monday, 26th October 2015.

Consequently, all admitted candidates are to pay all relevant fees: acceptance fee, tuition fee and concessional admission fee to enable them obtain their matriculation numbers online.

START CLEARANCE:
(a) After login as described above, Click ‘My Data’, ---> Click ‘Clearance Data’, Click ‘Edit’, enter your correct details and upload all relevant documents e.g. O-level, JAMB result, birth certificate etc ---> and click on ‘Save and request clearance’ at the bottom of the page.

CHECKING OF CLEARANCE STATUS:
Click login or Go to https://aaue.waeup.org/login with login credentials. e.g. user name= E2014171, password = 234052
Top right on the page shows clearance status with the following messages;
(b) Clearance requested: Check back again if you have NOT been cleared by the Clearance Officer.
(c) Clearance started: The clearance officer has sent you a message why you have not been cleared. To enter your correct details, Click ‘My Data’, ---> Click ‘Clearance Data’, --->Click ‘Edit’, enter your correct details ---> and click on ‘Save and request clearance’ at the bottom of the page.
(d) Cleared: You have been cleared by the Clearance Officer; please proceed to pay your acceptance fee and school fees.

PAYMENT INSTRUCTION:
• Click “My Data” tab at the top of the Page, click “payments”.
• Click on the Add Online Payment Ticket button.
• Under Category: Select the appropriate payment item (i.e: acceptance fee or School fees).

PAYMENT OPTIONS:
(a) CANDIDATES WITH ATM-ENABLED VERVE OR MASTER CARD FROM ANY
COMMERCIAL BANK.
(i) Click on the Payment_ID of the ticket created.
(ii) Click on ‘CollegePAY’ at top of your page. Confirmation page will appear to enable you cross-check your payment details. If ok, Click ‘Submit’ to proceed with the payment through Interswitch payment gateway. Select your card type (Verve or Master Card), enter your card details and click “Pay”. Note: Your CVV2 is the 3- digit number printed at the back of your card.

(b) CANDIDATES WITHOUT VERVE, VISA OR MASTER CARD (E-TRANZACT
PAYMENT)
• Click on the Payment_ID of the ticket just created.
• Download and print the payment_slip (which you are to present to the teller at the designated bank outlet where cash payment is to be made). Logout from the portal and proceed to the bank.
• At the Bank, submit your portal ‘payment slip’ along with your cash deposit and the teller will provide you a print-out (e-Tranzact payment slip) with details of the payment just made including the e-Tranzact payment Confirmation Order Number – (PIN).
• Proceed to the internet and login again to: https://aaue.waeup.org/login.
• Select Payments from My Data tab at the top of the page.
• Click on the Payment_ID of the ticket you created earlier i.e. acceptance fee or School fees etc.
• Click on Query e-Tranzact History at top of your page.
• Enter your e-Tranzact Payment Confirmation Order Number (PIN) as printed on the slip provided to you at the bank.
• Click on submit to e-Tranzact to validate the cash payment made at the designated bank outlet.
• Download and print your payment slip for the session which you are to submit to the Bursar’s office for collection of the University’s receipt.

ONLINE MATRICULATION NUMBER:
-After login as described above,
-Click ‘My Data’, click ‘Base Data’, and click ‘Get Matriculation Number’ (Matriculation number will automatically be assigned) only after the payment of all stipulated fees i.e. acceptance fee, school fees e.t.c.
-Click ‘Download matriculation number slip’ to download or print your matriculation slip.

COURSE REGISTRATION:
• After login as described above, select study course from the My Data tab at the top
of the page.
• Click on “Add course list” button.
• Click on “Create course list now” button.
• Click on “Edit course list” button to edit courses (“Add course ticket” or “Remove selected tickets” buttons to add or remove selected courses which you might have added in error).
• You can edit courses until you have registered all your courses for the session.
• Then click on the Register course list button to submit your courses.
• Download and print your course registration slip which you are to submit to your course adviser.
Students are advised to collect their University receipt for acceptance, tuition and concessional fees
from the University faculty accountants attached to their Faculties.

Copies of all relevant credentials, online generated matriculation number page, clearance/eligibility
forms and University receipts are to be submitted in a file to the Dean of Students for clearance before submitting same to the Faculty Officers at the various Faculty offices.
