A lecturer at the Kogi State University (KSU), Anyigba, Ass. Prof. Justice Olurotimi Otitolaye, has been kidnapped and killed by suspected cultists in Anyingba, Kogi state.
The lecturer was kidnapped around
Stadium Road, near the school campus last Friday night, when he was
going to a supermarket in the area.
His body was later recovered Sunday
morning with various bullet wounds at Ejule, which is about 8 kilometers
away from the school and has been deposited at the university teaching
hospital.
The murdered lecturer, was a renowned
agriculturist, who was a former pre-degree director and a lecturer in
Faculty of Agriculture in the Department of Agric Economics and
Extension at the university.
He was said to be an advocate against
exam malpractice and other social vices on campus which was believed to
have led to him being targeted by cultists.
Otitolaye is a native of Kabba, in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi state. May his soul Rest In Peace… Amen!
