The 3rd, 4th and 5th combined convocation ceremonies of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED),
Ijagun, Ogun State, saw a total of 10,899 students obtain their first
degree certificates with 28 graduands bagging first class.
Prominent Nigerians, including the
Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, wife of a former governor of
Ekiti State, Erelu Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi; and a prominent businessman,
Alhaji Adebola Adegunwa, also received honorary degrees on the occasion.
Adetona received the award of Doctor of
Science Education degree in Political Science, Adeleye-Fayemi and
Adegunwa received the awards in Sociology and Business Education,
respectively.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluyemisi
Obilade, who congratulated the graduating students, urged them to see
themselves as source of inspiration for others.
The event took place between Monday, 17th to Friday, 28th November, 2014.
