[Breaking] UNN Suspends Postgraduate Programme, Orders Students out of Hostels

The ongoing school fees crisis rocking the Postgraduate School of the University of Nsukka (UNN) in Enugu State may have reached a sour point as the university administration just suspended the institutions postgraduate programme indefinitely.

In a notice made available today from the office of the Public Relations Officer (PRO), the university ordered all postgraduate students to immediately vacate the school hostel and warned that not doing so will be met with unpleasant consequences.

Below is the full text of the public notice as published by the university management;

TO THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY

Date: January 16, 2015

FOR THE URGENT ATTENTION OF ALL
SUSPENSION OF SCHOOL OF POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES IN THE UNN

In view of the on-going impasse resulting in the undue postgraduate restiveness, Management has directed IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION of all postgraduate programmes indefinitely till further notice.
Postgraduate students in then PG Hostels are directed to VACATE THE PG HOSTELS NOT LATER THAN 6 PM TODAY, Friday January 16, 2015.

All concerned should please comply to avoid unpleasant consequences.
