Nigeria is Ready for Electronic Voting System – Unilorin DVC

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Professor Yisa Fakunle, has urged the Nigerian Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to adopt electronic voting for the conduct of general elections.

Prof. Fakunle, who represented the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulganiyu Ambali, at the inauguration of the newly elected executives of the Postgraduate Students’ Association (POGSASS) said that the electronic voting system is very simple.

The DVC hailed the conduct of the POGSASS election which he said was a challenge to Nigeria to equally adopt the e-voting system adding that the university would be ready to assist the country in that regard.

The e-voting system was introduced in the university some years ago
