The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) and
the De Montfort University, Leicester, United Kingdom, have signed a
Memorandum of Understanding on how to lift the two institutions to
higher level.
The FUTA Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adebiyi Daramola, who signed on
behalf of the university, said the partnership would make it possible
for its workers and students to undertake knowledge sharing and skill
development that will engender creativity, connections, cultural integration, leadership traits and teamwork.
According to him, the deal will benefit workers and students in the department of Architecture and Industrial Design.
He added that FUTA was already
collaborating with other leading universities, including the Fort
Valley University, Georgia and the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical
University, Tallahassee, both in the United States.
