Covenant University Holds Fresh Students’ Orientation Programme

Covenant University (CU), Ota held the 2015/2016 Academic Session orientation programme for its fresh students from Monday, 10th to Friday, 14th August, 2015.

Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Ayo, listed the core values, which include spirituality, possibility mentality, capacity building, integrity, responsibility, diligence and sacrifice, noting that they are the guiding principles behind the university’s operations.

He told the fresh students that their proper understanding of the university’s core values would ensure their successful stay in the university.

The VC added that the university has a culture of discipline and royalty that distinguishes its students in every field. “Our students are known for excellence and we are proud of them. You too can be a source of pride if you submit yourself to the rules and processes,” he explained.

He, subsequently, welcomed them to the university, which he referred to as “the birthplace of Kings and Queens, an institution for raising a new generation of leaders which will be the hope of Nigeria and Africa.”

The orientation programme ended on Friday, August 14, 2015 as full academic programme began on Monday, August 17, 2015.
